Getting ready to go to Phnom Penh. I don’t really want to leave – it’s vacation (Water Festival) and the weather is just absolutely beautiful. It’s cool, breezy and sunny, and for some odd reason the smells in the air remind me of an American springtime.

Last evening I had the kids over to watch “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” (thanks, David!) I had bought some new speakers for the computer so we could actually hear what was going on, and I think a good time was had by all.

There should be some new photos online once I get to town. I’m going to go back to Picasa for the moment, as I’ve had no input yet on the other format, and it takes a bit longer to upload so is less practical. Some of the photos were taken on the little camera, as I was testing it to see why the battery goes down so quickly, so they’re not great… but I still wanted to show a few snapshots of the week’s activities.

I’ve discovered why the battery doesn’t last: the kids spend more time looking at the pictures they’ve taken than actually taking them… I don’t look at all, because I wait until they’re on the computer, but they don’t know yet that they have a computer too, so they check them out right away.
